Thursday 8am through Sunday morning, October 25th > 28th, your invited to a return bout and hootenanny at Devils Staircase in the City of Janesville. If you’re available for a few hours, a day or more, please consider adding this full moon Halloween adventure to your ‘must-do’ list!

Camp HQ will once again be at the Austin Farm (3702 West Court Street).  The work site meeting location will be the north pavilion off Park Road in Riverside Park.  A map and directions is attached.  Camping is available for early arrivals.

Thank you for an absolutely magnificent performance in July; when the August deluge struck your work not only held-up beautifully but has improved. The community has responded with unabashed enthusiasm and appreciation.  Lots and lots of feet are on the trail that weren’t before.

What’s left to do and why do it now?  Left to do is the upper-end of “Stairway to Heaven”, shoring up the tread at rivers edge with retaining walls, crossing historic Devils Staircase, climbing, climbing to the top, and trail signage.   Why now is for user safety, trail connectivity, and to make good on what we started.

Talk about a season closer to the season closer!  Thank you for everything you’ve done for the Ice Age National and State Scenic Trail this trail-building season.
