September 20-23 - “Sweeper Tour”, Timberland Wilderness SIATA, Lincoln County – Project Announcement

Hello!

The Mobile Skills Crew "Sweeper Tour" pilots in western Lincoln County Thursday September 20th 8am through Sunday noon September 22nd  You're invited to enjoy the rosy flush of Autumn in one of, if not the finest, semi-primitive environments that the IAT passes through.  Please help us plan with your needs in mind and pre-register at: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s.aspx?sm=NukEvIZL94Qca_2flU8T7YJA_3d_3d

In some respects this event is a return to “old-school”, where each night we’ll ask for volunteers to help with tomorrow’s kitchen needs and field crews are largely self-reliant.  In other respects, it’ll be Tech City where if all comes together, we’ll project quick power point presentations that show where we’re at and what’s going on in project areas you may not otherwise see.  Sunday morning, we’ll leave the tools behind and take a fine hike.  Solo, in pairs, or as you wish w/shuttle options available.

Is western Lincoln and eastern Taylor remote? Well, 35 years passed before the remains of an unfortunate plane crash were discovered near this section of trail.  You could also click on http://www.beartrackersden.com/beartracker/wolfhowl for a fun taste.  Come prepared and please let us know if you have questions by calling Eric in the Madison office at 608.663.8278.  Looking forward to seeing you in the mighty Northwoods and as always…Happy Trails!
