NOTE: When I receive a new project announcement e-mail it will be posted here, until then the previous projects announcement will stay posted to give visitors a little bit of a flavor as to what one can expect as a volunteer. June 21-24 - Trail Rehab, Murphy Flowage Recreation Area, Rusk County - THE FABULOUS BLUE HILLS ARE CALLING!! Click here for printable registration form. Click here for printable MSC personal supply list. You’re invited to join volunteers from throughout Wisconsin and beyond Thursday June 21 through Sunday noon June 24 at the Murphy Flowage Recreation Area, Rusk County and help upgrade over two miles of the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. As always our goals are: work safe, have fun, think and play as a team, and handcraft a first-class ‘showcase’ section of the Ice Age Trail. When the dust settles you can look back with pride and know that you had a hand in helping establish the first major section of National Park Service “Certified” IAT in Rusk County. The center piece of the project is scenic Hemlock Creek. The route includes water vistas, forested uplands and a white-blazed loop trail. Camping is onsite. Food and tools will be provided. Please help us plan with your needs in mind and pre-register by completing the attached (and pasted below) form. Directions, who to contact, and what to bring, follow. Looking forward to seeing you in two short weeks!
