July 13-16 - New Trail, Holy Hill Segment, Washington County – Project Announcement Come one, come all! If you have never seen the Holy Hill National Shrine of Mary, now is your chance. It’s a beautiful spectacle atop a naturally-formed kame in Washington County. You will not only get a chance to see this natural and national landmark, but you will also help others to do so by providing a high-quality hiking experience on the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. We will be constructing over a mile of new Trail on state-owned property while eliminating almost two miles of road walking. As a sign of true teamwork, the Washington/Ozaukee and Waukesha/Milwaukee chapters will be co-hosting the Holy Hill Mobile Skills Crew project July 13th-16th. Per usual, we will be starting the project work at 8am Thursday morning and working until 4-5pm in the afternoon Thursday through Saturday. Sunday work will be from 8am until noon. Please dress for the weather and bring water bottles, leather boots and gloves. Tools, crew leaders and fun will be provided. Camping is at Camp Erin, a former Boy Scout Camp, now a retreat for Quad Graphics employees. Its only a few miles from the worksite in the Town of Erin. Quad Graphics has generously donated the use of their campgrounds for the long weekend. If you do plan on visiting/camping at Camp Erin, you must read the Camp Rules (attached) and fill-out the Participant Release Form (attached). As soon as possible, please send the completed form to me at the address below. I will make sure they get to Quad Graphics prior to the event. Having this done prior to the event will save us time and troubles. Thanks. To register for the project itself, please contact Bob Broman at rbroman@charter.net or (262) 335-1647. Include your estimated arrival times and the meals you plan to attend. Also, please include any food/beverage restrictions you may have. For those who register, detailed directions will be sent a week or two prior to the beginning of the project. Hope to see you all soon, and please pass this on to a friend, or many!
