Hi Friends Of The IAT,
John called a little while ago from the Woods And Water
Realty office in the Blue Diamond area. Northwestern Wisconsin received
seven inches of rain in less than 12 hours. John is totally soaked, has
never been as wet and he’s cold, he wishes he had hung onto his rain gear.
He was walking down the road past the realty office and Annette who works
there yelled out the door asking if he wanted some hot coffee, that just
made John’s day. Annette gave John a dry T-Shirt, he’s feeling much
better. I checked the radar and the worst of the rain is past him, in 30-60
minutes he should be able to resume his trek. Last night John stayed at the
backpacking campsite in the Chippewa Moraine National Scientific Reserve.
John definitely plans on being at the terminus of the IAT on Monday. John
currently is between Map 97e and Map 100e and plans on being thru
Weyerhaeuser, WI and to the trailhead by nightfall. He should be e-mailing
ten more photos shortly. My plan is to get those photos to the web site by
tonight.
Happy Trails!
