He is craving
for a shower
Hi IAT Friends,
John spent last night camping at Lapham Peak near the
backpacking site (Map 22e). He slept in until 8:00 am this morning since
there was no pressure to get up early and move when one is stealth
camping. No more problems with blisters and none with foot pain, it’s
great that he is beyond those issues. Now there are other ones, he is down
to his last $6.00 after re-stocking with supplies in Delafield, WI
yesterday.
Currently, John is at Waterville Road just off of the
Glacial Drumlin State Trail and he plans to make it to Shelter #2 near the
Visitor Center and Forest Headquarters off of Highway 59 (Map 23e). He
needs to charge his cell phone so he will be stopping in the Pine Woods
Campground where there are shower facilities. John wants one real bad!
His long-range plans are to spend Friday night at the
Clover Valley Wildlife Area south of Whitewater (Map 26e), Saturday night at
the Storrs Lake Wildlife Area near Milton, WI (Map 28e), and then in the
Janesville, WI (Map 29e) Sunday night.
I will be meeting with John very early Saturday morning
and my plan is to hike with him Saturday and Sunday. “Cliff” has offered to
help us both days and will take us out for a prime rib dinner Saturday
night. He will transport me to my car as well as let me store it at his
house.
John wanted me to mention that he received Brad’s call
but by the time he played Brad’s message it was well after 9:00 pm to late
for him to return the call. Sorry Brad.
Happy Trails,
“Biscuit”
