10:00 AM Status – A bit of
lightning
Hi IAT Friends,
John is currently located at the intersection of the
IAT and County K just north of Hartland, WI (Map 21e). He had about 2 hours
of really hard rain this morning. It’s not raining now but he’s wet having
used his jacket to keep his pack dry. He definitely could use a pack
cover.
John did not get as far as he had planned for yesterday
since he had to back track several miles to get his cell phone that he left
at a previous rest point. He spent last night camping between Loew Lake and
Monches just off of Emerald Road (Map 20e). He had a lot of lightning last
night which made him nervous.
His goal for the day is to reach Shelter #1 in the
Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest, which I told him was a bit ambitious.
His bail out point is Pine Woods Campground in the same forest but not as
far. He’s running low on supplies and replenish in either Hartland or
Delafield.
His physical condition – mentally he is feeling fine.
The blisters are no longer an issue. He has foot pain, which is causing him
to hobble.
His long-range plan is to be beyond Janesville, WI and
onto Map 33e.
If anybody can be a moral booster give him a call on
his cell phone and either talk to him or leave a message. John can be
reached at 1-920-460-0742.
Happy Trails,
“Biscuit”
