Hi All,
At 10:00 am this morning I called John for a status report. John’s
moral is excellent. He has developed a few blisters but they do not
appear to be an issue and definitely are not slowing him down. I
asked him if he still wants to complete the thru hike and he
said “Absolutely”. I could sense that he was sincere based on the
tone of his voice. As of the phone call he was on Map 8E at the
intersection of Princl Road and 147. He plans on camping at Point
Beach State Park / Two Rivers this evening. He is walking slowly so
Bill can catch up. I asked John if Bill has dropped and John is not
sure. Apparently, Bill was picked up by his girl friend and has not
been seen or heard from since. Not sure of the pick up time.
John’s immediate needs are Moleskin for his blisters. He needs to re-
charge his cell phone because the batteries are almost dead. His plan
is to re-charge them tonight at the park so he may be hard to reach.
He is almost out of water.
He plans on arriving in the Kettle Moraine area sometime on Thursday.
If anybody can help him in anyway please do so. His spirits are good;
we have to keep him pumped up. We need to get those blisters squared
away. He is almost out of water. A couple of burgers would make him
feel good.
If somebody could track down Bill that would be great.
