Ice Age Trail Thru Hike Journal

Log Entries For Day 1 Thru Day 2
Day 1-2 The Ahnapee Trail. After departing
lovely Patowatomi State Park, we found our way to the Ahnapee trail. A long
dirt road for as far as the eye can see. Splendid in it’s own way-if you
keep a keen eye up and down the trail you may be able to spot various
creatures crossing to scour or drink. Camping and cooking on the Anhapee
brought me closer in a way to this feature of the Ice Age Trail and I have
grown to love it. Our bodies are adjusting to the field and hope to be full
of energy for a tough few days ahead. Thankfully, Biscuit came through to
meet us with burgers and fries. After a few brews and burgers moral is
good. Treading lightly… -John Bauer 6/11/06
