John Bauer and Bill Rhodes - 2006 Ice Age Trail Thru Hike Journal

Click on the date below to view John and Bill's journal entry.

Join us on the Unofficial Ice Age Mobile Skill Crew web site as we track two of our own, John Bauer and Bill Rhodes as they depart Potawatomi State Park in Door County, WI on Friday morning June 9th to thru hike the Ice Age Trail.   John and Bill will be mailing status reports along with pictures that will be posted to the web for you to enjoy and dream about.   Feel free to call John and Bill with words of encouragement and some trail magic.  Their cell phone number is 1-920-460-0742 and they will appreciate your calls.   Let’s show them our support and make this hike happen.

Where in the world is John?  John is back home in Waupaca, WI.  He finished his adventure at 7:30 PM on Monday, August 7th, 2006 on Map 111e

On the map you will notice little boxes with numbers (these refer to maps with more detail), these will be used to give you some idea of where John is on the trail.  The numbers are referenced in e-mail and on this web site.  If you want more detail just reference the number in the "Ice Age Trail Atlas - 2005" (Published by Ice Age Park and Trail Foundation, Inc).
